SEASHELLS and Superstition.are they considered bad luck in Mexican culture?

Casper asked:

When I was in elementary school I hanged out with alot of mexican girls. I told them my mom collected lots of seashells in her bathroom. They all said it was very bad to have seashells in your house. I always thought that was so strange. Has anybody else heard this before, or know the story behind it if there is one?

Can you help me with wanting to decorate a bedroom with seashells and ocean-themed items?

Janelli asked:

I am wanting to decorate my bedroom with sea shells and other sea items. The colors of the furniture will be a dark brown and the bed sheets will probably be a blue and brown.
My problem is that I’m not artsy, craftsy much less creative. I am on a budget so I will be going to the beach to collect items that could help me with the decorating. Any ideas on how I can turn this idea into an actual room?

Thanks in advance

Will i get sick from a 2 month old bag of once live sea shells?

bluemonk561 asked:

I went to the Phillpines in June, and collected seashells, only to find that they were alive. I put them in a cup, poured boiling water on them, and mixed in rubbing alcohol too. then i tried to let the ants eat the meat inside, so i put them on the ground. a day later, i collected them again and put them in a ziplock plastic bag (i didnt clean them again, so they had dirt all over them still in the bag). and put them in a box and closed it.

now its 2 months later, and i opened them up, put them in hot water, and rubbing alcohol, and boiled them. now im worried ill catch something from the potential bacteria growth it went though, if at all

did any bacteria grow from this? after all i did above? will i get a cold?
